Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Verto Solutions Group ("DealCircle.me", "we") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use DealCircle.me. It applies to members and visitors.

1. Who we are

• The controller of your personal information is Verto Solutions Group. Contact: welcometo@dealcircle.me.

2. Information we collect

• Information you provide: your name, username, email, phone number, and country; for companies, the company name, field, address, and website; your profession or field; profile details (headline, bio, skills, links, avatar); verification information and documents; and content you post in requests, deal rooms, messages, and support.
• Information collected automatically: log and device data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps; essential cookies used for authentication and security; and analytics data about how the Service is used (pages viewed, time on page, and interactions such as clicks), collected through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. Analytics data is not collected in the admin area, and record identifiers in URLs are replaced with placeholders before being sent.
• Information from others: the fact that a member invited you, and payment confirmations from our payment provider.

3. How we use information

• To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service; to create and manage your account; and to run the invite and approval process.
• To assemble Circles and match members — including AI processing to break down requests, score matches, moderate content, and translate messages.
• To verify identity and credentials and to compute trust.
• To process payments and credits.
• To communicate with you (account, transactional, and service messages) and respond to support.
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse and to comply with the law.

4. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service); your consent (for example, at signup and for optional verifications); our legitimate interests (security, improving the Service, preventing abuse); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. AI processing

• We use Anthropic's Claude models, server-side, to analyze requests, assist matching, moderate content, and translate messages. Content sent for these purposes is processed to deliver the feature and is not used by us to train AI models.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with:

• Service providers (subprocessors):
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (hosting).
  • Resend — transactional and account email delivery.
  • Twilio — SMS one-time codes for phone verification.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Anthropic — AI processing, as described above.
  • Google (Google Analytics) — usage analytics that help us understand how the Service is used and improve it. Advertising features, ad personalisation, and Google Signals are disabled.
• Other members — your profile and the content you choose to share within Circles, messages, and the network, according to the Service's visibility settings.
• Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. International transfers

• Your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

8. Data retention

• We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Some records, such as transaction records, are kept longer where the law requires.

9. Your rights

• Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can edit much of your information in Settings, or contact us at welcometo@dealcircle.me. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. Security

• We use technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and least-privilege access. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

11. Cookies and analytics

• Essential cookies are necessary for authentication and security, and cannot be turned off.
• Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics so we can measure how the Service is used and improve it. We enable IP anonymisation and disable advertising features, ad personalisation, and Google Signals.
• We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
• You can block analytics cookies with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

12. Children

• The Service is for professionals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes

• We may update this Policy and will notify you of material changes.
